The four tennis courts are now open following the completion of the Centenary Walk development. They are near the pavilion area of the park close to the other main sports facilities. They have been completely refurbished and have new playing surfaces, new surrounding fencing, and they are now floodlit to extend the current playing times.
The courts are free to use but there is now an online booking system. To book a court go to https://victoriapark.i2cplaytennis.co.uk/Booking. The first time you use it you will need to register. You can do this as part of the booking process. Once registered you can then confirm the booking of the court. You will get an email confirming your booking, and a one-time code which you will need to use to open the gate to get on to the courts. Your email is proof of booking so it’s a good idea to have it with you when you go to play.
Tennis coaching on the park
Tennis coaching for different ages and abilities is also now available at the Victoria Park tennis courts. For full details and to book a coaching session visit https://victoriapark.i2cplaytennis.co.uk/Booking. It’s the same site as for booking but choose the coaching tab at the top of the page to book a coaching session. Although the courts are free to use, there is charge for coaching sessions.
