The four tennis courts are now open following the completion of the Centenary Walk development. They are near the pavilion area of the park close to the other main sports facilities. They have been completely refurbished and have new playing surfaces, new surrounding fencing, and they are now floodlit to extend the current playing times.
The courts are free for all to use. However, there is now an online booking system for the use of the courts. Visit www.leicester.gov.uk/book-activities-online to book your court. The first time you use it you will need to register for The Card. The Card is a City Council scheme which covers all leisure centres and some other activities in the City. Once registered you can then book a court. Once booked you will get an email confirming your booking. Your email is proof of booking so it’s a good idea to have it with you when you go to play.
Tennis coaching on the park
Tennis coaching for different ages and abilities is also now available at the Victoria Park tennis courts. For full details and to book a coaching session visit www.victoriaparktennis.com.There is also a link on this site to book your court. Although the courts are free to use, there is charge for coaching sessions.
